New ideas are fundamental
for progress. Everyone needs new ideas to succeed or to
survive.
Share-Ideas-Day is a special
day of stimulating, inspiring and celebrating ideas to
improve services, encourage new ways of doing and make
the world a better place.
The nationwide initiative provides a focal point along
with practical help and assistance to enable everyone
– employees, customers, users of services, or anyone
in the community - to create new ideas, make suggestions
and share their thoughts. It seeks to harness word-of-mouth
creativity.
Share-Ideas-Day is a non-for-profit initiative organised
by the Wakefield Media and Creativity Centre and creativity
consultancy creativity@work.
Imagine if 1 in every 100 people in the UK shared an
idea on Share-Ideas-Day.
That’s an incredible 500,000 ideas. Of these,
if 1 in 10 provide added value to the recipient of just
£100 this produces some 50,000 ideas worth a staggering
£5 million.
Share-Ideas-Day takes place on September 12th –
a symbolic date to mark renewal and the start of a new
beginning and the need for new ideas for a better world.
To make Share Ideas Day work needs resources. This
can be practical assistance and also funds to cover
the costs of running the initiative.
